The Trial Chess Class
Our trial class is free, offering a firsthand experience of Brainiac Academy's teaching methods before you enroll your child. This session allows us to understand:

During the trial, the instructor will independently assess your child’s approach to the game and learning preferences. Afterward, you and the instructor will decide together whether your child should continue in a group or private class.
The Group Chess Class
The group classes are interactive live sessions during which the instructor introduces a chess concept and gives a corresponding practice assignment. Students present their understanding, application of the concept and ask questions.
In the group class, your child enjoys the following benefits:
Interactivity : – by observing how other students understand and apply the concepts, the students will have a rich understanding of chess.
Positive interdependence : – the students will learn the importance of interdependence. The students will appreciate the importance of reporting to class on time and completing assignments. Your child will understand how their behavior affects the group.
Individual accountability : – even though the sessions are in a group, the students are accountable for their work, completion of assignment and mastery of material.
Self-confidence and esteem : – As the students grow in understanding chess, being able to present their moves to their fellow students, will grow their self-esteem.
The Academy’s intention, with the group class, is towards two key ends. The first is to give education on chess concepts. The second is to inculcate to your child, the values, principles and attitudes of professional a chess player applicable in everyday situations.
